HomeStride was born from the simple realization that when people need a real estate professional most, they’re often least equipped to choose one.
This uncomfortable truth became clear when a client, Anna, came to us few years ago during a deeply vulnerable moment. Facing financial pressure, limited options, and no margin for error, getting the right guidance wouldn’t just influence the next home, it would determine the path her life would follow. Her success would not be determined by the broker’s 5-star reviews but because they understood risk, structure, and consequence of getting the purchase right.
The outcome was successful, but what stayed with us was something more sobering. She didn’t find that level of expertise through a system designed to reveal it. She found it by chance.
So, we looked more closely at how the industry evaluates real estate brokers and what we found was a marketplace where nearly everyone appears equally qualified despite wide differences in experience and expertise. Ratings reward how likable and responsive a broker is but rarely measures judgment, technical depth, or the ability to protect a client when the transaction becomes complex.
We believed there had to be a better standard. That belief led us to build a proprietary vetting process focused on what matters: market fluency, inventory knowledge, and contract strategy. We are highly selective about the real estate professionals we work with so that when a match is made, it reflects true alignment between the client’s needs and the broker’s expertise. Because of that process, we decline far more brokers than we accept.
When the stakes are high, representation should never be left to guesswork. Real estate isn’t about finding a broker. It’s about finding the right one.
